My Fridge Is Possessed

OK so I know that sounds like this is some paranormal post but in all seriousness, this is not a serious post so don’t call the white coats in just yet please. It is based loosely on fact and no animals were harmed in the making of this post – I’m vegan after all.  If you want your own possessed fridge then click here and choose from the best rated refigerators. A few years ago I needed to replace the fridge and as you may well know, this is not an easy decision and I probably did not do enough research into the best rated refrigerators prior to my purchase.

You need to consider how big your family is and I don’t mean how much you all weigh. You will also need to consider:

• how many shelves are in the fridge,
• the ideal size of the freezer,
• the dimensions of the fridge so that it fits in the space in your home,
• the energy rating,
• the best rated refrigerators based on what others have to say
• whether you want an ice dispenser and
• whether the freezer section is at the top of the fridge or the bottom.

Now, I hope that has not added to your stress level. I think I consulted a therapist prior to the purchase of a fridge back then due to high levels of stress and I may still need to see one, unless it is actually true that my fridge really is possessed.

So, one night my mum says to me after staying the night “I thought someone was breaking in last night as I heard a lot of banging coming from the back area of the apartment”. Curious, I try to think why there would be banging coming from that area of the apartment and I realize it is my possessed fridge. I manage to convince my mum that there really wasn’t anyone trying to break in and that she was welcome to stay longer and that the noise was based on my fridge. She still left promptly that day and has been avoiding staying ever since. Mental note to self: this may be a good ploy to deter any guests that you do not want to stay overnight.

So, now it seems that whatever has taken hold of my fridge has decided that the banging is not working so I now have new noises to contend with. My possessed fridge went through a bathroom stage with gurgles and noises like someone was using the tap. A past life experience for my fridge?

Currently, it sounds like I have a kitten stuck in my refrigerator. It took me a little while to work out that the noise, which I also think sounds like race cars going slowly, on a formula one track with the sound turned down, is again, coming from my possessed fridge. Every so often, day or night, it let’s out a whiny sound. I am considering reporting my fridge to the RSPCA (the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Australia).

So, all I can say, is that it really is important to buy a fridge based on the best rated refrigerators. Would I rank my possessed fridge as one of the best rated refrigerators? No, the inside freezer shape is not ideal, the fridge is too tall, so it is harder to find a spot for it to go in most kitchens and the noises are strange and sometimes loud. The good news is that it might keep your mother-in-law from over night stays, if that’s what you want.
